Question Epson 9700

Hi

I am in the process of purchasing a second hand Epson 9700.
I want to use it to print canvas, poster paper and some Hi Res vinyl prints.
Will this be a good buy? I do have a Mimaki CJV30 as well for most of my vinyl prints, but I can get this Epson at a good price...But I have heard some horror stories about the Epson print heads clogging.
