Evening all - been having some issues with Epson Edge Print software. I am using version 7.5.2 if needed. Just got the Epson 6070 DTF printer about a month ago - this thing is S-W-E-E-T! prints are vibrant and quick to boot. I'll be happy to answer anyone's questions about the printer, etc.
The printer came with Fiery RIP, but the tech who installed my machine provided me with the Epson Edge Print as well - it worked for a little while without a hiccup - it's the easiest, simplest interface I've seen in a while. About a week ago however, it started to hang up when loading my gangsheet files - files are all less than 20MB and around 14-20 feet in total length. I should note, I am located in a school so we have numerous protocols on software, network, etc. (but best friend is the lead IT, so whenever there's an issue, he's right beside me for assistance, etc.)
Called Epson's 1-800 number - and get this - Shaq "answers" the phone - nice touch for a major corporation. Hold time not bad as well. Epson tech had us uninstall and reinstall software - actually did this three times - still the same issue with loading files - the adding files icon just sits and spins. Have to do CTRL+ALT+DEL to task manager just to shut it down. A day after this call, I tried to load another file and it worked seamlessly. No idea why.
This week, I've been able to print about 3 or 4 days without instance. Today, however, the same ugly problem rears it's head. The load files just sits and spins, and the file I am trying to print is only 2kb in size -
Running a Windows 11 i9 processor with 16GB RAM. No other program (Office, etc) is running in the background. PC is a desktop and is on a wireless network.
The only thing I can think of is adding another stick of RAM..... Anyone have any ideas? Appreciate the input/advice. Gotta get back to printing DTF's for the masses! Thanks!!
Side note: machine came with Fiery RIP for DTF. Installed it last week just in case the EpsonEdge was a bust. First impression of Fiery (compared to EpsonEdge) is not good. Fiery looks like the Chinese HosonSoftware I just quit using with our old piece of junk DTF printer from another company (from FL USA no less....would not even uphold their warranty...long story). Also cannot find any how-to guide or come near being able to load files and print with Fiery.
