I serviced an Epson Stylus Pro 4900 a few years back (non-Epson tech here, but can fix stuff and follow the directions in the service manual), and I had to buy the service program off of eBay to complete the repair. Seemed a bit sketchy, but it did work. You may want to look there if you feel so inspired...
