Epson GS6000 Air in Lines

So I bought a used GS6000 at a really good price knowing that it likely needed new heads due to the black not printing all that well. I just took the cover off and see that in 2 lines there is air. So not sure now if i actually need new print heads or if maybe dampers, heavy cleaning etc. The ink cartridges all have expired so I am likely looking at another $2k to buy new ink if i go with oem. It does still do really nice prints and black does sometimes work...

I'm kinda stuck an hoping for some advice. IF i can get a epson repair person over to check it out (been tryng for a week an half) does it make sense to pay $2k for new print head and $2k more for new inks? This is still just a hobby to me and although I am getting alot of work possibilities...not sure if i should keep dumping on a old machine or step up and look at something newer and that has technicians available to actually fix it. Here in Vancouver BC there is 3 certified epson techs. 1 starts giving me a quote on everything wrong with it without ever seeing the machine and says he will send invoice an then doesn't. an the other just plain doesn't show up!! At a $100 + an hour.... lol it just makes me smh.

Should I just look at a mimaki, roland or mutah? I do still want the 64" and i wouldn't mind a print cut but I have no probs buying a dedicated cutter as well.

Thank you
