Error Code 79:04

Anybody familiar with this error code on a HP L25500, it has happened a few times now.

Check firmware version ; latest is 4.0.0.4...

Also check printheads...out of warranty?

Thanks for the link, the firmware is up to date. I think I have to call support.

79:04 is basically the BSOD for this machine according to several HP reps I've talked to about this error I get a lot. It can be displayed by pretty much any sub system in the machine, therefore its useless.

This is an actual quote from the technicians manual on the printer.

"The System error 79:04 is a generic firmware error (equivalent to a blue screen in Windows)."

think i had it.

personally, i think the software of the latex is not fully bug tested

I have had this happen to a machine directly out of the box from HP.

Re-flash the firmware (even if it is already the most current) and it most often will correct the problem from what I have seen.
