We have been using Suitcase Fusion for 3 months now. We did not opt for the server version as I do not see the advantage when we only have 5 workstations. We simply add to each station as needed.
We have over 4000 fonts. We currently only keep about 200 active. Our systems appear to have fewer "lock-ups" and flexisign definitely operates better without all the fonts active. The adobe products work even better. They (Illy and Photoshop) will automatically active a font when existing artwork files, with non-active fonts, are opened.
It is easy to find the wanted font and active for temporary use.
It did take a few weeks to corral our fonts and get them into a manageable list and categorized but it has been very worth the time.
