Faded print on HP FB750

I've been having this issue off and on for a couple years now. The leading edge starts a print with a faded streak. It only happens on that first 1/4" of print. We've had ink and printheads replaced since it started, but can't figure out what causes this. I've attached examples.

You should adjust the vacuum pump. There is an adjustment screw, accessible at the back of the machine, where the ink cartridges are located.

There is a suggested range for the value which is shown on the display when entering the vacuum pump adjustment menu. Unfortunately I dont remember where to find it because it is long ago that I have adjusted a FB myself.
