I know this is an older thread but i found a very useful app called My Measures. It allows you to take a picture of something and type in the measurements. It's been very handy especially when im on the road.

I just installed team viewer last week. Pretty cool app, lets me get on my computer from where ever I'm at.

That is a great app! I can't wait until Verizon has the Iphone...I have heard rumors of June!

Also check out ColorSnap® for iPhone.

I have found it very accurate for exterior use.
