Job description:
H & H Sign Supply was founded in 2007, located in Sturgis, Kentucky. We are an online business selling sign making materials to all 50 States. We do sell and service equipment in Western KY, Southern IL, Western TN, Southern IN, and Southern OH. H & H is looking to hire a Field Service Technician/Phone Support Technician for Mimaki printers, Graphtec plotters and Summa plotters.
Equipment and Software Brands Sold and Serviced are Mimaki, Graphtec, Summa, Royal Sovereign, GFP, SignLab and Sai FlexiSign.
Job Duties:
-Installation and training of new equipment and software at customer's location. This install will require uncrating and assembly, inspection for damage, setup and calibrate equipment to manufacturer standards, and training for the customer which includes use and maintenance of the equipment.
-Repair and preventative maintenance at customer's location. Employee will have to document all conversations and steps performed during repair. Employee will be responsible for tracking time spent on the job and parts needed for repair/maintenance.
-Basic understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems and learn proper procedure for installing and troubleshooting software.
-Provide technical support to customers via phone and email. The employee will be responsible for documentation for all calls and be able to listen to concerns by the customer and able to resolve the problem. Follow-up calls and support will be expected. Willingness to answer technical support questions for team members.
-Maintaining regular communication with the Service Manager.
-Assist with equipment setup, demos, and disassembly at trade shows and open houses.
Preferred Skills:
-Sign industry experience and knowledge of wide format printing is preferred.
Required Skills:
-Technically inclined with training through employment or technical college in repair or maintenance is highly preferred. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent.
-Strong customer service skills and willingness to troubleshoot.
-Clean driving history and willing to submit a criminal background check.
-Clean cut appearance.
-Employee is required to supply their own basic tools. Any specialized tools will be supplied by H & H.
Additional Information:
-Hours will be Monday – Friday 8 hours per day. Hours will vary while at customer locations due to travel.
-Lunch per day will be 30 minutes to an hour.
-Travel and Overnight Trips: This job will require overnight travel several times per year. H & H will pay for the hotel and gas for overnight trips.
-Physical Requirements: Employee must be able to lift at least 100 lbs. and able to stand for long periods of time. The ability to bend, lift, sit and stand safely is a must.
-Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
