Finding a Computer Tech

I'm not really a newbie to signs but am unsure of myself when it comes to making computers, plotters, etc work with each other. We used to be able to have a tech person come from FASTSIGNS to get everything working right, but they don't do that anymore. I'm very unhappy with the local guys we've been using who seem to have no patience with (or knowledge about?) how to get plotters and a very old Gerber Edge2 working with a new computer.

Any ideas on how to find somebody who can be more help?
