It all started yesterday:
Head hit curled edge of paper and stopped. I cleared it out, shut it down and restarted job. It got about 40 inches printed and gave me a motor error.
I shut it down pushed the carriage back to the home position. When I restarted, bang the carriage hit the control side and I got another motor error. Thought the cable slipped, which it had but was unable to solve the problem.
I cleaned the encoder strip, then held down the right, up, left and then hit the power button to set the limit with the carriage in the home position. It seemed like it did that but when the carriage moved it gave me the Invalid Location Out of Range message.
I don't have a service manual for this unit. I'm pretty far removed from anywhere so avoiding a service call would be appreciated.
