Flexi 8.5v2 for Mac not outputting to plotter

Until this week I was running FlexiSign Pro 6 on an older iMac in OS9. I have production manager on a separate computer that is connected to a Graphtec FC2100-120 plotter. This system has been working fine, but this computer was on it's last leg and I needed to make the upgrade before I was in a do or die situation.
Last week I upgraded to a brand new iMac (Lion) and upgraded to the last Flexi for Mac upgrade which is 8.5v2. All software is installed with no problems. I've also installed on a second (older Mac, but newer than the current set up)to use for Production Manager. Flexi 8 supports this plotter and everything set right, as far as I can tell. It's been 7 or 8 years since I've done this, so it was all a little slow coming back to me. Anyway, the two computers are networked together via ethernet, then to the plotter.
The plotter is connected via serial cable, connected to a Keyspan device with a USB connection for the 2nd Mac. The brand new iMac knows the Production Mgr computer is there because the key is plugged into that computer and it lets me start Flexi.
BUT - when I send something to cut, it can't find production manager. It says the TCP IP is not set right, but I have no idea what I might need to change it to. So I tried the production manager on the same computer rather than the separate one, and the cut goes to PM, but will not recognize the plotter - even tho everything is set correctly.
I know this is confusing, but I'm desperate. I'm out a few thousand dollars here and production is at a stand still. I can't get the company I bought Flexi from to call me back and the Mac store can't help because it's seemingly a software issue, not the new computer I just bought.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - if anything needs clarification, please let me know. I know it sounds like a mess. It's pretty straightforward in reality, just difficult to explain.

Thanks in advance!

Is the old(er) machine running OS9, because I know it's impossible to run OS9 and Lion on the same machine (one needs an intel processor and other won't run on one).

Networking between OS9 and OSX is a *****. I've resorted to a "sneaker" net with a USB key to move files between an old mac I still use for drum scanning and the newer machines on the network.

If one machine is OS9 you may be able to create the TCP/IP connection between them, but the way in which you need to do it probably won't allow an application that expects standard ethernet transfer protocols to exist to do the same. Unless there's some way to create the TCP/IP condition you need to do to network between OS9 and OSX. At least that's what I think I remember about the last time I farted around with networking an OS9 machine to something newer.

Hey Rooster, thanks for the input. The older computer with Production Manager is OSX, just a lower version. I think it's 5.4. Before I bought Flexi I confirmed that it would support the software just so I wouldn't find myself in an unworkable position.
I'm going to try to call Amiable today since I can't get the supplier to call me back and see if I can get some help from them.
Thanks again.

dssigns - your best option to contact SAi would be to email esupport@saintl.biz

You might also try to contact Stephanie Stamm at SAI to see if she can get you some help seeing as the reseller is not helping all that much.
