Flexi 8 says cannot find hardware key??

My Flexi 8 says "cannot find hardware key that matches the password." This is a licensed version that I have been running for about a yr. without a problem. The USB key lights up. I don't know if the key died?

It took awhile but my internet security was blocking Flexi from seeing the key! Ugh! I don't even want to know what that cost me in time.
