Flexi cloud not opening Flexi 7.5

Hi,
I am very new to this. A freind had a sign shop and unfortunately passed away. He had 3 pc's all with flexi, ranging from flexi 5 to the newest pc with flexi cloud. He had the knack of always savings his files as flexi files. I am trying to take files off his mac pc with flexi 7.5 to a ibm with flexi cloud. No matter how I try flexi cloud wont open the files. It will either be blank or it will say not supported file.

I have searched and tried my best to locate the answer online and in this forumn but I am finally at my wits end with flexi. Is it not forward compatible? or is it something i have to do because it is mac to ibm.

If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

The Ibm is running windows xp. He said that 7 would not run the vp540. Any info on how to get a laptop with 7 to run a roland vp540 would be great also. It keeps saying wont open port. I have tried everything I have seen on forumns to fix that also

Welcome to the forum and welcome to Flexi Cloud. Sorry, but it's not forward compatible. Your best option might be to open the older Flexi files with an older version of Flexi and save them as an .eps or .pdf file. Then the cloud version will open them. Good luck!

Flexi 11/Cloud will open Flexi 7.x files but you must use the IMPORT function.

Windows 7 will support VersaWorks and the VP-540 no problem.

Chances are the XP and IP Address Configuration errors.

I used export as the two types. io beleive 6.5 and 7. then i go and put it in ibm. in cloud i click import. But the screen is blank. I am not on the pc now but i will try to do screenshots tonight or even better info. I am about to sell everything. If someone in minnesota is interested in a 52" laminator 2 cutters and a vp540 let me know. also the entire sign shop in 2 car trailers. Im almost at my limit

I could e making allot of money off the files that he ahd. But the mac with 7.5 the production manager wont open now. So i was hoping to just migrate the files to the ibm with cloud.

I also cant find the versaworks dvd i saw when i loaded things up. It probably in a trailer still. I have read that you have to laod versaworks first for windows 7 and flexi. Maybe thats whats wrong with the laptop issue. But i have also read you have to use windows 7 ultimate.

I thank everyeone for the help thus far. Ive built cnc plasmas and converted mills. But this flexi software and the zillions of file types is wearing on me



Due to him always saving as a flexi file for 20 years and basically never migrating files i have 3 pcs with 3 version of flexi and all of them bogged down and running like crap. Even the ibm needs to be reboot but I was hoping to get the laptop working first and know i can migrate files. I know any file he opened in the cloud now wont open in his 8.1 flexy that was on the same ibm
