Flexi for Mac Experience

Hey,

I'm thinking about picking up Flexi for Mac - Pro or whatever the top one is. I'm just trying to cut vinyl, not print. I'm just wondering if any Mac users out there have experience with it and if you would recommend that over say... Adobe Illustrator?

Any thoughts?

I can say as with any OS if all you want to do is cut vinyl . . . You can get a much lower version than PRO for that !

Use the search function of this forum to find more in depth information about Flexi products, I'm sure you'll find a lot.

I don't know ... we only cut vinyl for years and have always had FlexiSIGN PRO.

There are a lot of very useful features that are only available in the Pro version. Especially the effects (Shadow, Outline, Distort, etc.)

I have the Mac version of Flexi PRO and would highly recommend it for cutting vinyl. Especially if you have to clean up any artwork. The vector editing features in Flexi are way better than Illustrator or Corel. (IMO)

Flexi was designed for sign making and that's what it's good at. Illustrator/Corel were designed for vector illustration and print design. Illustrator/Corel can be used for sign making, and many people use them successfully, but in my experience Flexi is the better tool for vinyl cutting.
