Flexi is changing characters?

Sometime I design a proof quickly in Pshop then go into AI or Flexi do work up a vector version when a job gets green-lit for production.

For some reason though, Flexi is altering characters. I choose the same font type out my text, but things like commas, dollar signs etc... do NOT match.

Commas are blocks. instead of round with a tail, dollar signs have one vertical line instead of two, etc...

Any idea why this happens? Is the program drawing from alternate characters instead of the standard ones?

Any idea how to fix this?

What type of font is being used? TrueType, OpenType, ?

It's happened with both, but this instance this morning is a TT font.

positive you are not using two different variations? ie tt font in pshop, t1 font in flexi?

Yes, only have one version of the font installed.
