Flexi not printing registration marks on a Mutoh falcon Jr

I want to print on my Mutoh Falcon Jr so I can cut on my Mutoh SC850D plotter. So when I open Flexi 8.1 and choose Rip and print > contour cut > Advanced > Contour > Registration Marks > Mutoh. Then I go back to general tab, I see the black box around my printable image which I believe is my registration mark Press send now in Production Manager hit send and as it is printing I never print any registration marks for the SC850 to see to be able to cut. Only the image. Any Ideas? Print head even goes back and forth many many times and advances way above the image as though it wants to get to the registration marks (black box) Does anybody print & Cut on a Falcon Jr and can give some pointers. Thanks?

I full well realize that what I'm about to ask is on a par with 'Is it plugged in?' but...

Do you have any contour cut specified in Flexi? Either created with Effects->Contour Cut or declaring an existing path to be a contour cut via Arrange->Contour Cut->Make Contour Cut?

Without at least one path specified as a contour cut there ain't no way, no how, any automatic registration marks are going to be printed.

Bob Thanks for responding. Yes I used the contour cutthrough the effects menu before the first message, but I tried it through thearrange menu after reading your post. I get the same result, Flexi’s screenshows the Mutoh black rectangle around the image I want to cut, but when I go to Ripand print it lays down zero ink where the registration mark should be. And onlyprints the graphic in the center of the rectangle. As you can see from thepictures the head advances all the way to where the top of the rectangle shouldbe. Any other ideas?

You're using Flexi 8.1, a release with which I'm not familiar. I went from 7.something to 8.6 and I'm unfamiliar with Mutoh's registration marks, being a Graphtec shop.

Regardless, a question and an observation. The question: Does the Rip and Print create both a print and a cut job in Production Manager? If not, why not.

The observation: Looking at your Flexi Rip and Print screen shot, where is the tab for the contour cutting parameters? 8.6 has such a tab and a safe assumption might be that the same version, 8, regardless of release , .1, .6, whatever, would have pretty much the same dialog layout. I may be wrong in this assumption since Flexi is most certainly the product of amateurs laboring at full capacity, but still, there should be some way to specify the various contour cut parameters in the Rip and Print. This screenshot looks very much like a plain vanilla print job without any contour cutting involved.

You might start there and figure out just what is going on.

Problem fixed another shows up

Black head fuse blown - replace fuse, registration box now prints Thanks all Now while I print it goes to 85% in flexi and the print head stops. No more printing unless I reboot flexi and the Mutoh. Prints one image and then stops at 85% on the next. Any Ideas
