flexi/production manager not communicating

with my hardware

I am here late doing a rush job....and the flexi on my computer is not seeing my plotter or printer...production manager opens...asks if I iwant the plotter (faithful ioline)on my computer or on another...i say on my computer...production manager opens...at the top it says "classic24 at com4, like it always says...but the "showme button" is pale and I cant send anything....I pulled up ioline and did a test it is connected...any ideas or i am i going to have to call yuky grimco tomorrow! I dont really want to go on my designers computer and use the mimaki cutter...i can never get that thing sinked up. I feel so dumb! And the mimaki/print stuff is set up on karens computer and when i want to print on production manager i have to say different location...again it opens says at the top it is connected but the question mark that lets me poll the material size is pale and not available for me to hit...what wrong with my computer? And why must it happen late at night when i need to get crap done! Any ideas? Anyone?

and i have been so dam smug!...I never have problems with flexi...i love flexi...well its biting me in the ass right now. I have taken everything down...the server...all the puters , all the machines and still same crap.

this is soooo weird. I redid the set-up on ioline...so now I have classic24_1@com4 and production manager was holding the job...went into production manager and sent it..so it's cutting....but things are very messed up...I have 2 options at com4? weird...so i will be calling grimco. Wonder how much they will charge over the phone since I have not maintained my 1000 dollars a month in orders...

Did you try a "Clear Preferences" and then setup production manager for the plotter?

I don't have 8.0 ( I'm at 7.6) so I don't even know if you can do that anymore.

thanks jtrube...i'll check that out....its cutting the jobs i need...and now i have to weed. Tomorrow I will get further into it...I will probably call Grimco cuz it's weird how I cant find the mimaki either....I dont understand how things can work perfectly for 3 years and then it goes to poop.

Grimco Tech Support..fantastic

Called this afternoon about my dilema...and the dude was able to get inside our computers and network and fix everything...it was wierd watching the piointer move around...opening and closing dialogue boxes...but he fixed it in under a half hour. Feeling the love for Grimco right now!
