Pierce Manufacturing uses their own proprietary fonts in most cases unless otherwise directed by the customer.

It may have been hand drawn. I worked on a lot of fire trucks and we didn't switch to computer fonts until sometime around 1997. maybe look in Leblanc's gold leaf book for an example

Chuck Noon is close, the "A" would have to be changed.

That "G" in the picture is just stunning.

That is in fact a Pierce proprietary font, it’s actually their most commonly used version. The “DYERSBURG” on the front is also their Goldstar hand laid 23 kt. gold leaf.
