The font is Serpentine Sans Bold Oblique.
It's a little pricey at $42.00. If you have Serpentine Bold Oblique you can knock the little flare serifs off it and it's identical.

Thanks for the feedback. Being as I quoted the mags at $52 I don't think a $42 font is feasible. Hopefully I can find something close enough.
Your feedback gives me another avenue to pursue. Wonder if there is a "similar to" web site for fonts? That would be cool.
