font nav 2006

formatted and reinstalled windows over the weekend. opted for corel(bitstream)'s font nav over the font thing. been using it home for a while and i really like it... now that it's at the office, completely different story.

couple weird issues happening. for starters, the software does not seem to like any of my openType fonts. when installing an OT, the program crashes. oddly enough, the font is installed during the sacrifice. general browsing/scrolling's very unstable. also a continual popup error about "acrobat distiller" encountering a problem, program still works but will generate this error after 10 or so fonts.

driving me batty,:frustrated:

any insight is most appreciated

so far i've identified it as just a conflict of sorts. right after booting this morning i could add all the fonts i wished, tough still with the a distiller error. continued to work through the morning. only died later and continued to, after i had minimized flexi. not a permanent sln, but a work around at least...

i know it only really likes running on the root drive & once its been run from a folder it doesn't like being moved. I had a similar problem on my old puter cos i ran it from the folder i'd downloaded to. Put it on the C drive & it was happier but never perfect like my latest one. I know it doesn't install but it does act like a woman :) sometimes

cheers
