This just came across my desk via e-mail so I thought I'd pass it on FWIW.
New threats to TrueType and OpenType fonts
Normally, fonts are nice, well-behaved code that allow you to read
content on your computer more easily. Now, even fonts can be used
by hackers to take control of your system.
Both of the threats detailed in MS10-032 and MS10-037 are rated as
important by Microsoft and apply to all current versions of Windows.
The latter is of less concern because an attacker must have a valid
credential for your system.
What to do: Install these two updates when offered, or go to articles MS10-032 (http://windowssecrets.com/links/gtt...t.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS10-032.mspx)
and MS10-037 (http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/Bulletin/MS10-037.mspx)
for more information and links to the appropriate patch download page.
