Why is it that when you have a font on one comp, you can't use it on another. Some fonts come bundled in software, that I understand but I have a font on my Vista laptop that I need to recreate the file on my XP machine but I can't simply copy it over. That's really annoying...

Fonts are drawn from local folders by the local operating system. If another networked workstation does not have the same font installed then it will attempt to substitute one that is resident on that workstation.
