The HP Scitex LX600 and LX800 printers are color inkjet printers designed for printing high quality images on flexible substrates from 914 mm (36 in) to 2641.6 mm (104 in) wide (LX600). These printers come with three liter ink cartridges which can be changed while printing. With HP Latex Inks, the user can print directly onto un-coated polyester fabric in a simple, one step process. HP Latex Inks have no hazard warning labels, no HAPs (Hazardous Air Pollutants per U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Method 31) and are non-flammable and non-combustible.
The prints are durable with outdoor display permanence up to three years unlaminated, five years laminated. The HP Optical Media Advance Sensor (OMAS) achieves high image quality and consistency with accurate media advance between wide print swaths. These printers use an embedded spectrophotometer to automatically scan a printer-generated color target, measure its properties, then make and record any corrections. This allows for fully automated color calibration.
