Just found this old, wonderful thread. I hope to keep it going, but will start a new thread if that would be appropriate. I would like to understand the templating process. What is this photo from jfiscus's earlier post? Is this a wrap in progress, or did he wrap the cart with something and then pull it off to make the template? I thought of doing that, if I could find a material that could be removed without stretching out of shape. I am an installer who has to provide a measurements for the designer for a similar cart. They like to print the background with logos all over, and its hard to make the logos fall in the right places.

The material you see on the golf cart is Phototex. It does not stretch, so after you apply it to the surface and make your marks it'll go back to perfect flat again once removed so you can take a photo and draw it up.
