GCC GRC-76S HELP PLEASE!!!!

I have a GCC grc-76s going from a db25 to a db9 adapter then off of that i have a db9 male/female null modem cable plugged into a prolific db9 usb adapter, ch340. I am able to install the drivers for the adapter but not able to get anything to print. I am trying to use sure cuts a lot 5... in device manager it shows are com port 4... so it is recognizing the adapter at least. I have read a bit and my options for GCC are expert/puma/jaguar etc and nothing works.. I am a newby and recently procurred this cutter second hand obviously and would love to get it to work. Any help will be greatly apreciated. I am at my wits end I even tried everything possible chatgpt suggested...

Thank in advance

Not sure what software do you have. Might find GRC model under Vinyl Express brand.
Null modem cable is a good call. make sure it is.
USB-Serial adapters cannot drive too long cables. can use M-F null modem dongle instead.
Baud rate setup is important. I think it uses 7 data bits in default. Double check all serial port settings.
chatGPT cannot possible remember for this.
