Gerber Edge old and foils...

Hi all-
I have 2 old Gerber Edges and lots of foils. I'd like to get one running. Any suggestions for service in the lower Atlantic region?

Is this a software or hardware issue?
You can load up vinyl and foil into the Edge and run test prints through the menu to determine if the heads are good.
ONLY use strong iso alcohol to clean the head if you see a problem.
Do you have software? Do you have a Gerber plotter?

you don't say what it does.
step one
take covers off
unplug EVERY CONNECTOR CAREFULLY!
clean with 91% isopropyl and a tooth brush, unless you want to buy a spray can of electronic contact cleaner

look at all the "sockets" on the pc boards (where the plugs plug in, on the back end conductor side

after this, carefully reassemble, power back up and post any error you see

They are both very dirty, need new rubber for rollers, a lot of work. They are probably first or second gen Gerber Edge...
