Gerber edge printing jpeg file

I have not had much experience with the edge but I am needing to print a photo of a tree cmyk using a jpg file. My question is I am going to purchase the clipart online and was wondering should I purchase the larger sized file for a better printout! Do I increase my chances of less pixelling! Thanks in advance, this board has awesome, helpful members!

I would recommend purchasing the image size that will give you a full size original at 100 PPI. Then, when you import it into Composer, set the color management to:

  • Monitor = sRGB IEC61966-2.1 or any of the Gerber monitor profiles.
  • Gerber Imaging = Gerber EDGE II 300 DPI CMYK.
  • CMYK = Photoshop 5 Default CMYK.
  • RGB = sRGB IEC61966-2.1 or any of the Gerber monitor profiles.
When you import the image, set the image halftone to GerberTone STC Photo and the LPI to 70.7.

When you output the image, turn off the automatic color management and select the profile named Gerber EDGE II 300 DPI CMYK from the drop down list.

See, there you go...awesome helpful members...thanks guys.

I am using the edge I and out outputting with flexi 7.6.
I have ran a jpg thru once and the photo actually came out pretty well but then again it wasn't a large photo.

Although 20 dollars is not a large amount I still hate to waste it for same results.
