Gerber GS15 Plus

I am just starting up making signs using a second hand Gerber GS15 plus and all software but cannot get it working as someone has told me I need a dongle of some description, can anyone help please?

You need to have software capable of driving the plotter. That amounts to either Gerber Omega, Gerber Graphix Advantage (no longer published), SignLab, FlexiSign and not sure what others. Of those named, they all use security dongles to protect against unlicensed use.
