Graphtec FC2100-60A

I just joined this forum and it looks like a great place. I'm mainly an airbrush artist, but I use a plotter to cut paint mask for many of my jobs. I was just given an old Graphtec FC2100-60A vinyl cutter which currently does not work and I'm hoping some of you experts can help find out what may be wrong with it and if its worth fixing. When i put a piece of vinyl in the cutter, I get an error message that says: "ERR Y POSIZ.PENNA". If there is no vinyl in the machine, I just get a "0" and it beeps continuously. Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
