Question GS 750Plus Rental

I rented a GS 750 Plus plotter and feel the price of rental is very high! What would one rent one for per hour/day or weekly?

I have never heard of someone renting a plotter, where do you even rent one from?
if you are renting, I assume your volume needs are low, so why would you rent the equipment vs. just buying the finished product from a sign shop?

I was in a bind and my main plotter broke down. I needed one fast and borrowed/rented from a sign company I have a relation with while my other one was being fixed.
