GX640 and versaworks

Hi

My Roland tech gave up on it yesterday wondering if any of you know. I have a GX640 trying to hook it up in versaworks via usb,. Wont go "Device not found or Status not acquired correctly from device. I have the drivers install fireware etc.. device is on when i verify but Always getting this message. Any idea's
