halftones not displaying or printing

We have Gerber Omega ver. 1.54 software and the Edge.
There is a job which requires halftones. We set up the LPI and using the Classical tone pattern. Now, the problem is that the halftone doesn't display on the monitor or print on the Edge. We are only getting solid colors. As a test, we tried to print the halftone.plt file which is located in the samples folder. No luck there. Has anyone else had this problem?
The old Gerber software (GA) would display the halftone and print it on the Edge with no problems.

What do you have the LPI set at? If it is too high a number it will eliminate all toning and just print solids.

Most work I print with the Classical Dot halftone pattern, I set to 53 lpi or lower if there are any gradients and I set it to 70.7 lpi if there are no gradients. I might bump up to 80 or 90 if the client is sensitive about seeing halftone patterns but I would expect a considerable loss of any quality that depends on the halftone and a deepening of all colors. I've been Edge printing since 1998 ... with GA first and then Omega when it became available. I do not recall the actual halftone ever being displayed on the monitor.

I set everything as you said, unfortunately I'm still getting a solid print. I noticed that there are several printer profiles for vinyl and Gerbertone, but none with a classical dot. Would that have anything to do with it?

No, but if you'll email me the file and any images placed in it, I will let you know what the problem is in a couple of minutes.
