Hardware Key not being found

I'm on vacation and took my computer with me to work on layouts. I took the key out during transport. I put it back in and start the computer and get the error screen saying a key is required and none was found. I'm on Flexi for Mac 8.5v2

I don't know anything about Mac, but when I had that trouble on windows, I always needed to remove the key, and then reboot the computer. I waited for the computer to fully boot up and settle down. Then I plugged in the key.
I assume it's a flash drive. If it's being seen, there should be a green light on it.

Again, macs may have a different type of dongle

Also, do you have more than 1 port to plug into ? Maybe your putting it into a different port than it's used too, and the port doesn't work

The light on the key does come on. I don't remember which port it was in, but I've tried all four of them. I haven't tried them directly after restarts, so I'll try that.

I've had a similar problem and found the flexi key had to always be in the same USB port.
