Has anyone ever slit down a roll of material

Thanks Pat. My supplier generally will cut most rolls down.. But for this particular roll of Avery they don't offer it?

I noticed in a previous post that a member made a jig.. I emailed him about how he made his. I am going to attempt to fabricate something of my own. If I come up with something good I'll be sure to post some ideas.

There is a whole industry dedicated to making machines for this purpose, have a Google for 'slitter rewinders'.
Some folk use core cutters for this purpose, but it's all a question of how accurately you need to cut.
