If you really want to buy a imported printer from China take a look at a banner jet 1671 it's $3200. Includes RIP and one set of 1 liter inks. And has a DX7 head you can get it shipped to your door for under 5k. Keep on researching.

I am not sure what I want yet, just curious on these type printers.. sometimes I know you get what you pay for so I am skeptical

Nope I have an HP latex machine.

I would do more research you would rather buy a printer for 5k+ with a DX5 print head. Than a newer technology printer that uses a DX7 print head for less money.

the parts for the banner jet were crazy cheap so you could stock everything you need if it breaks down. Granted you need to work on the printer yourself because there is no tech support other than email or skype. The most expensive part is the print head itself and it was $750. Do you have a source for consumables for the one you listed?

Also there are plenty of printer manufacturers in china and the chances that you can find a better one are pretty high. The banner jet people I talked to and emailed were very helpful and answered all of my questions. I just really wanted a latex machine instead, As it was a better fit for my situation. It took me 2yrs of searching about solvent and latex and RIP software before I made any choices. I would like to switch to Caldera but every local supplier around me are focused on Onyx. I currently am using Flexi Pro until I get enough time to get a demo of Caldera, And sit and evaluate it.
