HDU help

I have some 2” HDU but I need it to be 1 1/2” and don’t want to buy a new sheet. Has anyone put HDU through a planer before? I’m wondering if it would work or just chew it up.

Should work fine if you have sharp blades. You can also do it on a CNC router if you don't have easy access to a planer.

Thank you. I have easier access to a planer then a CNC but I am looking into one

Piece of cake. HDU is easier on cutters than wood. Although I haven't sent much HDU through my planer, I have sent a LOT of HDU through my jointer. Cuts smooth and easier than wood.
