Head caps replacement help!

Have to replace the caps on my mimaki jv3 160. just got the part in from mimaki. was wondering if im supposed to splice the tubes? the replacement part has tubes attached but they are short and the ends have a small metal tube sqeezed into them. Am I supposed to attach the tubes i have to that by splicing? the part im referring to is the bottom caps that raise up to the print heads.

Just for those others who may wonder. this was actually very simple. Just opne the back panel (next to the on/off switch). You will see the pump and ink lines connected with stints. and thats where you connect the new lines. Just make sure to take note of what color each new tube is because other wise you wont be able to tell once you push the tubes down.
