Need heavy duty metal sign blanks 18 x 24 for client where high vandalism occurs - will me applying vinyl and overlaminate - other than .80 aluminum - any suggestions out there
I was actually being sarcastic. 1/4" steel plate would be far too heavy for most applications. It's 10.2 lbs per sq ft, so that would be a 30.6 lb 18x24.
What sort of vandalism are you dealing with? The sign vinyl isn't going to be that durable.
You can use 1/8" aluminum--that's what is typically used for highway department signs.
Thanks - it looks like we are going to go with the .125 aluminum and
Avery Dennison DOL 6060 Anti-Graffiti Overlaminate
cleans up nice if spray painted
