Help in Corel

Im sure I am not posting this is the correct location, but I need some help. I am trying to create a rope design around an oval panel. The rope would be placed 1" inset from the edge of the panel. I can not for the life of me figure out how to do this in coreldraw X7. Can anyone give me tips on how to do this? Corel can't seem to do anything to help me. Any help at all would be appreciated! As you can see in the image, it is already done, but the lines overlap and will not be good for cutting sandblast stencil.

Hard to tell, but is the rope is made from thickened strokes?
Your cutter will only see the original hairline...not the weight of the stroke.

I think you may need to select every piece of the rope
and go to "arrange" > "convert outline to object"
Then go back and delete all the original lines in wireframe view,
combine the contours of each piece of rope, then weld all the pieces of rope together.
Done it this way before and it's a little time consuming.
Also, do it with a copy so you don't accidentally lose or mess up your original.
Hope this helps...
