HELP - Mutoh 1614 error- firmware?

Had a lighting storm and printer must have gotten stung.

Getting a 079 error for abnormal serial communication. I read a few places to try to update the firmware which could fix it, or a main board.

been looking around the internet, including mutohs site and cannot find anywhere to download the firmware files or the mutoh maintenance engineer.

any help would be appreciated. Printer is out of warranty and not really close to a service outlet.
