Help, Raster images greys printing pink

Hello, Ive done a ton of searching and I can't find an answer to my problem. I have a Roland VersaCamm 640i, It prints great. If I create an image in Illustrator, I can choose whatever grey I want solid or gradient and it prints fine. If i get a Raster image that has greys in it, when I print, all the greys come out pink. I've tried everything I can think of and read and no luck. I'm pretty sure its not a hardware issue, I can print greys fine from vectored artwork. Has anyone had this problem or know of a fix. I'm sure its in a setting I'm just missing. If i print the image to my inkjet printer looks great but send the same image to my Roland and its all pink.

Thank you

Arial Sucks.
I would check print heads just to be sure. If it's an issue with raster-based images it could have something to do with color profiles embedded in the image or a lack of any color profile.

DIY Printer Fixing Guide
Most RIPs default to handling vector and bitmap differently. Go through your RIP and look for a setting called, Rendering Intent. Change the bitmap setting to match the vector setting and that should do the trick.

If you are using versaworks, choose density control only in your print settings. Versaworks sucks at printing grays. It's mixing colors to try and make gray instead of only using the black head.
