Help with color printing a portrait of a couple

I need to print a portrait of an African American couple and when I print it the skin looks too orange. They have a nice greying brown on my screen but my printer prints it them so yellowy orange. Iam using the latest versa works printing to a large format Roland printer model VG3-640. I feel like it needs a softer tone to it. I can't find a color management preset that helps at all either. Unless I missed it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Which software are you using?
Have you done a nozzle check (make sure magenta is good)?
Screens can be deceptive - SCREEN CALIBRATION is the key to printing what you see. (lots of youtube videos on it)
I print small samples of a picture in a few various filters.

I'm using Flexi on the cloud and versa works to print out of.
I have not done a nozzle check although I have not had other issues that made me question that. However I know my magenta is getting low. I should just change the cartridge out. I ended up adjusting the photo yesterday in photoshop. I managed to get it looking good with one adjustment. Which was a win in itself. I know my Screen Calibration is not accurate though either to the printer output if I'm being fair. Its not an issue much until I print skin tones. The printer ink set up that I have on our printer though does print more intense orange compared to our last printer also.

If you have the CMYK Orange and Green it is definately a learning curve. I print the colar chart in versaworks for each printer/ and vinyl setting and have near my desk. And in Flexi make sure you use soft proof button.

Thanks Stacey. I think what I was able to adjust in Photoshop tweaked it nicely for this job anyways. Of course I wish I didn't need to mess with it at all. I got lucky on the first adjustment try though. I know it doesn't typically go that easily messing with color. I've always found skin tone coloring tricky to get it to look natural off the printer. This job is for an interior church portrait of their current Bishop and Wife. We don't do too many prints of people though. We are more of a graphics and paint shop. So its not that often of an issue but I thought I'd ask on here for peoples thoughts is all. Thanks Again!

I actually sent it to get it flatbed printed. But here it is. We might have lightened it up prior to printing... Boudica did the photoshop touches. (great job btw)

Oh that's right, she did! I remember this clearly because it went back a forth a few times to get it just right and they were very happy with it.
