Help with Cutter

My friend has a Q130 that she needs to move away from where it's at now. The problem is the wiring that came with the cutter is to short. How can she wire it so that it will work. She was told by her supplier that it can not be done.

If you are referring to Serial, Graphtec offers 25' cables.

The cable from cutter to computer. It's USB on both ends. She needs to use a cat5 cable or more then double the cable she has now. Sign Warehouse told her it can't be done.

usb to ethernet adapter? usb hub in between 2 usb cables?

The USB connection on the computer is standered connection on the cutter it's that smaller USB connection. I would call it an A and B or male and female. I don't know the proper terminology.

drop a 15' usb cable from comp to powered USB hub, use the cable that came with the cutter from hub to cutter...
