Help with takeup reel on Endura Lam

Well I'm totally new to this laminator. My take up real seems to be taking up to quick.. What can I do to slow it down? When I release the tension on the side dial it becomse to slacky?

Well I figure a picture is worth a thousand words.

I know my explaniation of what was happening was a little unclear.

This is what is going on, and this is after running a 6 foot piece.

If the piece would have been any longer the laminate would have hit the take up paper.
