How do I set up a bitmap to print white?

I found a forum how to set up for white ink on Vector file- I have a masked bitmap image that has white in it. Can anyone tell me the set up for getting the white set up in that type of graphic please.

Can you not print a white flood layer the size and shape of the art before printing the color? Thats usually what we do. Say its a square, create a matching shape, apply a swatch that is a spot color like pure magenta and name it whatever name your rip looks for when printing white. Ours is Spot1. Send to rip then make sure and set up the rip correctly before you send to print.

What programs are you using? Corel, Illustrator, photoshop, versaworks etc...?
