How do I stop the type from distorting?

As you see I have attached a screen shot of my problem.

I used "flag" to get the look but now when I rotate it the font distorts completely.

This is far from the first time I have had this issue when it comes to using any of the warping tools. Can someone please give me some advice on what I need to do? I would very much appreciate it.

you need to let us know what program you are using.

That's an Illustrator effect. What you need to do after you run the warp filter is go to Object->Expand Appearance. That'll make it permanent.

What WI stated is the correct thing to do to solve your problem.

After you add the flag effect, expand it.

Ha, I was just going to suggest this. Every now and then I still do that to myself. So aggravating...
