How Retailers Are Using Digital Signage to Boost In-Store Engagement

Hi everyone,

We own a digital signage solutions business, and we deal directly with retailers, large and small, everything from specialty stores to national chains. In the past year alone, we have witnessed an enormous change in the way companies are utilizing in-store displays not only to make special offers, but to actually make the customer experience better. In order to assist others in the navigation of this area, I have compiled a comprehensive guide on how digital signage is transforming the retail environment in 2025.

These are as follows:

1. Fashion, grocery, and electronics retail: real-world use cases

2. The benefit of using dynamic content to enhance foot traffic and impulse buying.

3. ROI benefits - It is not only sales that are important, but also time and operational savings.

4. Advice for small stores looking to start with a limited budget. For small stores looking to start with a limited

5. Where digital signage is going next (AI, personalization, etc.).

I would be glad to read your comments:

1. What is your greatest in-store content or engagement problem?

2. Do you already use screens? And, if so, what have you found most effective?

3. Happy to give advice or examples in case someone is pursuing this path. Thanks!

Hmm, this reads like you are speaking to retail stores ("our" customers), trying to cut us (signmakers) out of the equation. I don't think many members on this forum would be looking to pursue this path.

I like making signs
Not sure exactly what you mean but all the taverns in town recently added vertical TV's with menu's, branded clothing for sale, and they pay for this by asking other businesses like myself to buy an ad spot and then my ad would appear on it - 5-10 seconds per screen shot. I think they wanted like $1000 for a year and it would appear on all the local tavern screens which is maybe 3-4 taverns. I passed. The tavern needed like 5 people to buy ads then they don't have any fees for the year. They are kinda neat and definitely seen by a lot of people but too much money for me.

Is that what you are talking about?

This has been going on for at least 15 or more years around here and beyond. It's only getting better as phones improve and more people are in touch with this kinda technology.
