How to get Eye candy to work in Flexi 8.1

I have Eye Candy loaded in Flexi. I am having trouble getting it to work. What is the sequence to get letters to take on the effects.

I think you have to rasterize the vectors first.

I did rasterize it. Then there must be another step in there somewhere.

Rasterize it as a tranparent.
select bitmap
now your eyecandy will work
just did it with 8.6

After some help from a friend we have it figured out.
Make a rectangle behind the text.
Group letters and rectangle.
Rasterize/transparent.
Hold shift key & touch letters with magic wand.
Apply effects.

A few more steps than doing it in Photoshop but it will work until I get my feet wet in Photoshop.

I love eye candy on flexi...
I loaded the trial version and work great...I reset flexi for color problems, and now I bought the full eye candy version 6, I've flexi-pro 8.6, but I can load, I follow all the step for loaded but flexi doesn't load eye candy...
preferences>file path>(folder in photoshop where plug-ins are), ok...bnut it does'nt load anything, how do you load it ??? !!!
