How to make "inside shadow" ?????

See attached picture. How do you do the "inside shadow" so it looks like the white is "pushed in". I know I'm not describing it right but would like to know how to do in Flexi or Illustrator. Thanks!!!!


Also a side note: this example is from www.srgfx.com and I have purchased this set as well as a bunch of other products for them. They do awesome work!!!

Make two copies of original layer, adjust top copy to the offset you would like, select top and middle copy, go to effects > combine > common. Make new top layer white, make bottom original layer light gray. Add black shadow.
